Berisch GROSS, born on February 9th, 1906 in Rawa Ruska/Poland [Ukraine] wasn't enrolled at the Philosophical School any more in 1938, but was preparing for the final exams ('Rigorosen'). He registered for the final exams in History on May 20th, 1936, and passed the first 'Rigorosum' on June 25th, 1936. His dissertation 'Toleranz und Intoleranz bei Luther und Calvin' was accepted on June 13th, 1936, and he also passed the second 'Rigorosum' on December 28th, 1938. He could finally finish his studies and graduated on October 31st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a 'Nichtarierpromotion', which included at the same time that he was banned from his profession. He was probably able to escape to Great Britain, but was imprisoned there as an enemy alien in the Kitchener Camp. Later he emigrated to the USA and lived in Pennsylvania. He died on December 7th, 1991.
