Fritz [later: Frederic K.] NEUBURGER (born on March 29th, 1908 in Vienna/Austro-Hungaria as son of Univ.-Prof. Dr.med. Max Neuburger (physician, university professor, 1865-1055) and was assistant doctor 2nd class at the 1st surgical university-clinic (head: Prof. Egon Ranzi) at the Medical School of the University of Vienna in 1938. He had taken his final examination ("Rigorosen") in 1930 and graduated on November 3rd, 1933 at the University of Vienna ("Dr. med.univ."/MD). Soon afterwards he was recruited as a university assistant on 1st June 1934 and until 1938 in use as assistant and secondary physician. He lived in Vienna's 7th district, Neubaugasse 79/7. He was persecuted in times of Nazism for racist reason as a Jew - allthough converted to roman-catholicism and was not allowed to give th oath to the new regime ain March 1938 and therefor lost his position at the university-clinic and was forced to leave the university. He had to flee from Austria and could emigrate to USA where he lived and worked as a physician in Buffalo. He died on June 19th, 2002, in the USA.
