Alfred MOTYCHES (later MOTICK), born on September 24th, 1914 in Loschitz/Czechoslovakia [Loštice/Czech Republic] (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Baden/Lower Austria, Citizenship: Austria), was the son of Salomon Motyches (born on September 4th, 1874; retired senior official 'Amtsrat i. R.') and his wife Laura nee Gross (born on October 5th, 1884 in Laschitz). The family lived in Baden/Lower Austria, Grabengasse 6a. 
Alfred Motyches was enrolled finally in spring term 1938 at the Medical School of the University of Vienna in the 4th year of his studies (Leaving Certificate ('Abgangszeugnis') was issued on June 30th, 1938). On May 15th, 1942, his mother Laura Motyches was deported from Vienna 2nd district, Körnergasse 7/15, to Izbica, where she was murdered as a victim of the Shoah. Alfred Motyches was able to emigrate to Toronto/Canada. There he met Anne Edelstein (born on October 22nd, 1921, died on January 7th, 1989 in Toronto), who also had emigrated from Vienna. They married on December 11th, 1949. Their daughter Diane L. Motick (later married Feldman) was born in 1954 in Toronto. Alfred Motick died in March 1995.
