Hans Monaster

Hans MONASTER, born on September 16th, 1919 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Moritz Monaster, lived in Vienna 1st district, Fleischmarkt 19/6.
After he had graduated from high school ("Franz Josef Realgymnasium"), he began to study law at the University of Vienna in fall term 1937/38. He was enrolled finally in spring term 1938 at the Law School in the 1st year of his studies. After the "Anschluss" 1938 Hans Monaster was able to emigrate to Shanghai/China. There he met his future wife Liselotte Mayer and they had a son. After the end of World War II the family returned - stateless - to Vienna in 1949.  In 1952 they emigrated to the USA.
