Karl Moriz MENZEL (born on January 31^st, 1873 in Mistelbach, Lower Austria/Austro-Hungarian Empire) was private lecturer ("Privatdozent") for otolaryngology at the Medical School of the University of Vienna in 1938. He was persecuted in times of Nazism as a Jew lost his position and was thrown out of the university on April 22^nd, 1938. He was able to emigrate to Brussels/Belgium, where he died on May 6^th, 1944.
