Helene LOWY, born on March 20th, 1915 in Zablocie/Poland (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Krakow/Poland, citizenship 1938: Poland), daughter of Josef Lowy (merchant), lived in Vienna's 9th district, Glasergasse 5/14, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Medical School in the 4th year of her studies.
In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism she was forced to quit her studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna (Leaving Certificate ("Abgangszeugnis") was issued on April 26th, 1938, fall term 1937/38 was validated on February 10th, 1938).
