Herbert KOENIG, born on June 12
th, 1916 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Mauer near Vienna/Lower Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Wilhelm Koenig (pharmacist), lived in Mauer, Gebirgsgasse 10, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Philosophical School in the 3
rd year of his studies and took courses in pharmaceutics and chemistry.
In 1938 he was forced to quit his studies without a chance to graduate and to leave the University of Vienna for racist reason after the takeover of power of National-Socialism.
His younger brother
Walter Koenig, who studied at the Philosophical School, too, was also expelled from the University of Vienna.
