Franziska KISCH (later married REININGHAUS), born on October 23rd, 1912 in Linz/Upper Austria (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Austria, citizenship 1938: Austria), daughter of Oskar Kisch (white-collar employee) and Helene Kisch, née Svoboda, lived in Vienna's 2nd district, Negerlegasse 1, waslast enrolled in the fall term of 1938/39 at the Medical School in the 6th and final year of her studies ("Absolutorium" issued on February 2nd, 1939).
After the Anschluss in 1938, although she was Roman Catholic, she was persecuted for racist reasons as a so-called "Mischling 1. Grades", but was able to continue her studies for the time being - subject to revocation at any time.
After successfully passing the viva voce ("Rigorosen") and fulfilling all the legrequirements for a doctorate (with the exception of Aryan descent), she was able to graduate on February 10th, 1939, but without gaining the right to practise her profession, but rather with a simultaneous ban on practising her profession throughout the German Reich.
It was only after the end of National Socialism that she was able to begin her specialist training in gynecology and obstetrics, working as an assistant at the Women's Clinic in Vienna-Gersthof and later as an outpatient physician for the Vienna Regional Health Insurance Fund, graduating in May 1951 and opening her practice in Vienna's 9th district, Porzellangasse 45 in July 1951.
After her marriage to Manfred Adalbert Moritz Reininghaus (1914-2007), she was ordained as Franziska Reininghaus.
Franziska Reininghaus, née Kisch, died at the age of 98 on April 13th, 2011 and is burried at Wiener Zentralfriedhof.
