Edith KITZBERGER, born on March 1st, 1918 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Friedrich Kitzberger (general manager of the bank 'Creditanstalt'), lived in Wien 18, Gentzgasse 53, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1938/39 at the Philosophical School in the 3rd year of her studies and took courses in German and English language and literature Studies. She was discriminated as a so called 'Mischling 1. Grades' but could continue her studies at first - valid until revoked - and was exceptionally allowed by the Reichserziehungsministerium Berlin to take the final exams. So she succeeded in finishing her studies on July 24th, 1940 with her final thesis (Dissertation): 'Johann Peter Hebel. Anekdoten.' (doctoral advisors: Nadler, Kralik)
