Hertha Lisbeth KELLER, born on May 7th, 1914 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Rudolf Keller (merchant), lived in Wien 6, Linke Wienzeile 56, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 4th year of her studies (Leaving Certificate ('Abgangszeugnis') was issued on June 24th, 1938). She had already passed one of the final examinations, the first Rigorosum, successfully. Although she was baptized, she was treated as a "Jew" according to the "Nuremberg laws" and was forced to leave the University of Vienna in 1938 and was not allowed to continue her medical studies. Hertha Lisbeth Keller had to flee and could emigrate to England 1939 and became a nurse and midwife. She was naturalized in 1947 and became a British citizen.
