Hans KENDA (born on April 13th, 1889 in Vienna), had graduated at the Law School at the University of Vienna  on July 14th, 1913 with the academic degree 'Dr. iur.'.


Hans KENDA, geb. am 13. April 1889 in Wien, hatte am 14. Juli 1913 an der Juridischen Fakultät der Universität Wien den Grad eines Dr. iur. erworben.

In times of Nazism Ministerialrat a. D. Hans Kenda was arrested on April 4th, 1944, and sentenced to four years in penitentiary because of "broadcast crime" on May 19th.
He was deprived of his academic degree on June 29th, 1944 because of his political opinion.

On March 23rd, 1945 he was released from prison.
It took one year since the deprivation until the regranting of the doctorate took finally place on September 8th, 1945.

Hans Kenda died on February 6th, 1972 in Vienna and was buried at the Hietzing cemetery.
