Roland KARY, born on September 22nd, 1907 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Ing. Albert Kary (merchant), lived in Vienna 8th district, Albertgasse 5/17, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Philosophical School in the 6th year of his studies and took courses in pharmaceutics and chemistry. In 1938 he was forced to quit his studies and to leave the University of Vienna for racist reason after the takover of power of National-Socialism. But after numerous incertainties he could finally finish his studies and graduated on July 21st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a "Nichtarierpromotion", which included at the same time that he was banned from his profession.
