Grades" - and with revocation at any time, she could only continue her studies for the time being. However, with the permission of the Reich Ministry of Education in Berlin on January 20th, 1940, she succeeded in completing her studies with a doctorate on March 21st, 1940.
After receiving her doctorate, she worked for a short time at the ENT department of the Polyclinic in Vienna in 1940 and then completed her training as a general practitioner at the hospital in Lilienfeld (Lower Austria) from August 1940 to 1945.
After the evacuation of the sick to other hospitals, she was first in Immenstadt/Germany where she married Dr. jur. Oskar Zlamala (1916-2004), a native of Gmünd (Lower Austria), on May 19th, 1945 (later section head in the Austrian Ministry of Defense, 1971-1974 head of the Austrian Army Sports Association, 1976-1992 president of the Federation of Austrian Hunting Associations BÖJV) with whom she had two sons: Mag. Oskar and Colonel Walter Zlamala (1946). She had returned to Vienna in August 1945 and opened her own practice in Klosterneuburg (Lower Austria) in September 1945. She worked there without interruption until the end of the 1980s and was also awarded at an early age the title of "Medizinalrätin" and also the medal for services to the city of Klosterneuburg.
MR Nelly Maria Zlamala M.D., née Kassowitz, died at the age of 93 on October 25th, 2005 in Klosterneutburg, Lower Austria.
