David Katz

David KATZ, born on September 5th, 1914 in Debreczin [Debrecen]/Hungary (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Kolomea/Poland [Kolomyja/Ukraine], Citizenship: Poland), lived with his mother Regina Katz in Vienna's 2nd district, Darwingasse 21/6, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Philosophical School in the 3rd year of his studies and took courses in History. In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he she was forced to quit his her studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna. He had to flee Vienna and was able to emigrate to England/Great Britain in time. In 1939 he lived at 65 Lordship Road, Stoke Newington, London/England, gave as his profession: "talmudic/rabbinical student" and was interned in England as an "enemy alien" after the outbreak of the war. Little is known about his further life.
