Franz KAISER, born on October 12
th, 1917 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Dr. Hans Kaiser (physician) and Anna Kaiser, née Lewith, lived in Viennas' 9
th district, Seegasse 12. He was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 3
rd year of his studies (this term was not validated on February 2
nd, 1939 and a Leaving Certificate ('Abgangszeugnis') was issued on February 20
th, 1939).
Although he was of roman-catholic faith he was perpetrated as a "Jew" in the definition of National-Socialist racist laws, had to quit his studies and was forced to leave the university.
Franz Kaiser and his father Dr. Hans Kaiser (until March 1938 he was physician at the health ressort of Bad Hall/Upper Austria, Hauptplatz 9) had to flee and could emigrate to England in 1938. His father could not get a working permission for years, only in 1942 he became an assistant doctor in an English hospital (for half the wages of his position in Austria).
Franz Kaiser stayed in England while his father returned to Vienna in September 1946. But after the death of his wife in 1960 he returned to his son Franz Kaiser, then living in 35 Heath Drive, Potters Bar, Middlesex.
