Bernard JAFFE, born on May 20th, 1908 in New York/USA (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for New York/USA, Citizenship: USA), son of Isaak Jaffe (merchant), lived in Wien 9, Porzellangasse 45/30, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Medical School in the 5th year of his studies ('Absolutorium' was certified on June 20th, 1938). He succeeded in finishing his studies and graduate on June 28th, 1938 - because he was a citizen of a foreign country, he couldn't be restricted by the 'Nürnberger Rassengesetze'. But nevertheless he was not allowed to practice as a physician in the territories of the Third Reich.
