Tydo Hornik

Tydo HORNIK, born on April 26th, 1905 in Romania (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Radautz [Rădăuţi]/Romania, Citizenship: Romania), son of Israel Hornik (rabbi), lived in Wien 2, Castellezgasse 22/11.

He attended a "Realgymnasium" (high school in Vienna and joined the zionistic highschool fraternity "Massada", after he received his leaving certificate ("Matura") he enrolled at the Medical School of the  University of Vienna and joined the jewish-academic fraternity "Libanonia". He was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Medical School in the 3rd year of his studies (fall term 1937/38 was validated on February 2nd, 1938, leaving certificate ('Abgangszeugnis') was issued on November 22nd, 1938).

He lived in Vienna as an "U-boat" from 1939 on and survived. In te 1950ies he was author of medical guidebooks in the edition "Perlen-Reihe".
