Richard BARTH, born on July 18th, 1913 in Bad Vöslau/Lower Austria, wasn't enrolled at the Philosophical School any more in 1938, but was preparing for the final exams ('Rigorosen'). He registered for the final exams in Romance languages and literature Studies on June 26th, 1937, and passed the first 'Rigorosum' on January 27th, 1938. His dissertation 'Leopardi über die italienische Prosa mit hauptsächlicher Berücksichtigung der 'Pensieri di varia filosofia e di bella letteratura'' was accepted on November 4th, 1937, and he also passed the second 'Rigorosum' on December 17th, 1937. He could finally finish his studies and graduated on July 21st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a 'Nichtarierpromotion', which included at the same time that he was banned from his profession.
