Wilhelm HERZ, born on December 23
rd, 1914 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Dr. Leo Herz (lawyer, deceased), lived in Vienna's 2
nd district, Taborstraße 1/21b in 1937 and in Vienna's 5
th district, Stolberggasse 9 in 1938, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 5
th year of his studies ('Absolutorium' was certified on November 7
th, 1938).
After the takeover of power of National-Socialism in 1938 he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason without a chance to graduate. Allthough he was allowed to continue his studies in the context of the 2% numerus clausus of Jewish Students for the next few months, he had to leave the University of Vienna.
