Mag. pharm. Rudolf HERZ, born on September 26th, 1908 in Baden/Lower Austria (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna, Citizenship: Austria), son of Mag.pharm. Bronislaw Herz (pharmacist), lived in Vienna 18th district, Waehringer Strasse 126. He had already graduated in pharmaceutics with the academic degree "Mag. pharm." before he started hs medical studies.
Rudolf Herz was enrolled finally in spring term 1937 in the 5th year of his studies ("Absolutorium" was certified on July 18th, 1938) and was preparing for the final examinations ("Rigorosen") in 1938. In 1938 he was forced to quit his studies and to leave the University of Vienna for racist reason after the takover of power of National-Socialism. But after numerous incertainties he could finally finish his studies and graduated on July 21st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a "Nichtarierpromotion", which included at the same time that he was banned from his profession.
