Josef HERMANN, born on June 20th, 1911 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Isak Hermann (merchant), lived in Wien 13, Hietzinger Hauptstraße 116, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 5th year of his studies ('Absolutorium' was certified on January 24th, 1939). In the spring term 1938 he was allowed to continue andfinish his studies in the context of the Numerus clausus of Jewish Students until the end of the term.
He was also employed as a demonstrator (with a grant) at the anatomy department I (Prof. Sauser) of the Medical School. After the "Anschluss" he was fired from this position and lost his grant for racist reason and was also no more allowed to finish his medical studies.
