Josef HAUSER, born on October 19^th, 1916 in Igls/Tirol (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Dr. Julius Hauser (senior physician 'Medizinalrat', head of the organization of "Krankenkassenaerzte") and Adele, nee Löwny. He lived with his parents in Viennas' 16^th district, Speckbachergasse 2/1/5. He was enrolled finally in spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 3^rd year of his studies (Leaving Certificate ('Abgangszeugnis') was issued on June 24^th, 1938). Josef HAUSER and his parents had to flee from Austria after the so called "Anschluss" in March 1938 and Josef could emigrate to the USA in September 30^th, 1938. He lived in Buffalo/NY, USA since 1939. He could not finish his medical studies und the condition of emigration but could graduate (PhD) in clinical psychology. He was not able to open up a practice on his own but became a clinical psychologist at the local hospital. He became naturalized, was an American citizen and changed his name to "Joseph W. House, PhD". He married Muriel, nee Rosenbloom (1920-2010) and they had two children: Edgar Jay House (born 1954, graduated from Yale University in 1975 and was a sable-team at the Yale fencing team and almost made it into the Olympic team in 1984, later he founded the House and Company Agency in New York) and Julia A. House (born 1956, married Lekach). Joseph W. House deceased in April 1985 in Buffalo, NY, USA.
