Szymon Marian GRAY, born on November 14th, 1919 in Tarnów, Lesser Poland/Poland (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Nowy-Targ, Lesser Poland/Poland, Citizenship: Poland), son of Zygmunt Gray (merchant in Nowy-Targ) and Rachel, née Schipper. He had graduated from high school ("Gymnasium") in Nowy-Targ in 1937 and then moved to Vienna to begin his medical studies. He lived in Vienna's 6th district, Mollardgasse 70a/4, was enrolled first - and finally - in fall term 1937/38 at the Medical School in the 1st year of his studies. In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna. He had to flee from Europe but could emigrate to the U.S.A. where he lived and worked, married and got a son. He lived in 11428, Jamaica, Queens, New York, USA. He died on December 31st, 1992 in the USA.
