Regina FRIEDMANN (married STADLER), born on January 21st, 1914 in Kolomea/Poland [Kolomyja/Ukraine] (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Chaim Friedmann (salesman), lived in Vienna 3rd district, Keinergasse 21/21. She was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Philosophical School in the 4th year of her studies and took courses in English language and literature Studies and German language and literature Studies and wrote her dissertation and had already passed the first final exam ('Rigorosum') in December 1937.
She emigrated to Great Britain in 1938. After completing her studies at Bristol University, she worked in England for many years as a teacher of German and also of English as a foreign language.
Regina Stadler returned to Austria in 1968, together with her husband, Karl. R. Stadler, professor of contemporary history. She was also involved in the conferences of the International Conference of Labour and Social History (ITH) in Linz.
She died on September 23rd, 2003.
