Dr. med. Ernst FISCHER, born on August 20^th, 1887 in Prague, Behemia/Austro-Hungarian Empire [Praha/Czech Republic] (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Friedrich Fischer (merchant, deceased), retired clerk of the Community of Vienna, lived in Vienna's 5^th district, Gartengasse 19, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Philosophical School in the 4^th and last year of his studies and took courses in Zoology. He had previously studied medicine and had graduated on November 27^th, 1915 and gainesd the academic degree "Dr. med. univ.". First he worked in the care home ("Versorgungsheim") Vienna-Lainz, then from February 1924 as a hospital physician, then as a chief physician ("Primar") in the hospital Ybbs / Danube (Lower Austria). In 1934 he moved to Vienna, but then was no longer practicing as a physician, but rather began zoology studies at the University of Vienna. In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna. He died on April 17^th 1940 in Vienna.
