Edith FISCHER, born on February 27th, 1912 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Friedrich Fischer (merchant), lived in Wien 20, Pasettistraße 101, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 5th year of her studies. In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism she was forced to quit her studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna. She was deported from Vienna (Wien 1, Werdertorgasse 5) to Theresienstadt [Terezín/Czech Republic] on September 24th, 1942 and from there to Auschwitz [Oswiecim/Poland] on October 12th, 1944.
