Rosa FARB, born on November 6
th, 1909, in Złoczów, Galicia/Austro-Hungarian Empire [later: Poland, today: Ukraine], (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Tarnopol/Poland [Ternopil/Ukraine], Citizenship: Poland), daughter of Schlomo Farb (salesman), lived in Vienna's 2
nd district, Untere Augartenstrasse 44/6. After she had graduated from high school ("Reformrealgymnasium" in Vienna 2nd district, Hollandstraße), she started her studies in pharmacy in fall term 1929/30 at the Philosophical School of the University of Vienna.
She was finally enrolled in fall term 1932/33 in the 4
th year of her studies ("Absolutorium" was certified on December 7
th, 1933).
Rosa Farb wasn't enrolled at the Philosophical School anymore in 1938, but was already preparing for the final exams ("Rigorosen").
She could finally finish her pharmaceutical studies and graduated ("Mag. pharm.") on October 31
st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a "Nichtariersponsion", which included that she was banned from her profession at the same time.
Her brother
Max Farb, medical student at the University of Vienna in his 5
th year, was forced to leave the University of Vienna too, without any chance to graduate.
They both emigrated to Concord West in Sydney, NSW/Australia, where they lived from the late 1940's to late 1950's.
Max Farb finally finished his medical studies, graduated and ran a medical practice, and she assisted him.
Rosa Farb passed away on November 27
th, 1980. They both were buried in the Jewish section at Rookwood Cemetery in Sydney, NSW/Australia.
