Max FARB, born on October 24th, 1913, in Złoczów, Galicia/Austro-Hungarian Empire [later: Poland, today: Ukraine] (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Schlomo Farb (salesman), lived in Vienna 2nd district, Untere Augartenstrasse 44/6, was enrolled finally in fall term 1937/38 at the Medical School in the 5th year of his studies ("Absolutorium" was certified on December 10th, 1938). His sister Rosa Farb, pharmaceutical student at the University of Vienna and preparing for the final exams ("Rigorosen"), finished her studies and graduate ("Mag. pharm.") on October 31st, 1938 - but only with the discriminating ceremony of a "Nichtariersponsion", which included that she was banned from her profession at the same time. Max Farb himself was forced to leave the university without a chance to graduate. They both emigrated to Concord West in Sydney, NSW/Australia, where they lived from the late 1940's to late 1950's. Max Farb finally finished his medical studies, graduated and ran a medical practice in Concord West in Sydney, NSW/Australia, assisted by his sister Rosa Farb. Max Farb passed away on December 13th, 1975. They both were buried at the Jewish section at Rookwood Cemetery in Sydney, NSW/Australia.
