Erich (Georg) ALTSCHUL, born on August 30th, 1911 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), was the son of Dr. Oskar Altschul (physician, 1975-1937) and his wife Gertrud geb. Buxbaum and lived in Vienna 7th district, Burggasse 89.
Erich Altschul began to study medicine at the University of Vienna in fall term 1932/33 and was finally enrolled in fall term 1937/38 at the Medical School in the 5th year of his studies ('Absolutorium' was certified on July 13th, 1938). His younger brother Kurt Altschul, who studied at the Medical School, was also expelled from the University of Vienna. After the "Anschluss" 1938 Erich Altschul was able to emigrate to the USA. He died on December 27th, 1989 in Woodside, New York/USA.
