Josef Faltitschek

Dr. Josef FALTITSCHEK, born on October 16th, 1896 in Vienna/Austria and enrolled at the Medical School of the University of Vienna where he graduated on May 11th, 1922 to "Dr. med." He became a specialist in internal medicine and was employed as unpaid assistent doctor ("unbesoldeter Assistent") at the Internal medical University Clinic (head: Prof. Eppinger) until March 1938 and also had a medical practice in Viennas' 1st district, Reichsratstr. 17. After the takeover of power by National-Socialism in March 1938 he was forced to leave the University and the clinic for racist reason. Josef FALTITSCHEK had to flee from Austria and could emigrate to the USA in October 1938. He lived in New York and deceased in October 1978.
