Hilde Renate ELLENBOGEN (married KAUFMANN), born on November 29th, 1918 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Josef Ellenbogen (lawyer), lived in Wien 1, Bankgasse 3, started in the fall term 1937/38 at the Philosophical School with her studies in Chemistry and Physics and was finally enrolled in the spring term 1938 at the Law School in the 1st year of her studies.
She emigrated to Great Britain in 1939 and went on to the USA in 1940. She could not continue her studies abroad but worked as a diamond cutter and later on as a supervisor in a huge New Yorker department store.
