Benno EBENSTEIN, born on June 12th, 1913, in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna, Citizenship: Austria), son of Max (Mordko) Ebenstein (white-collar worker ("Bürodiener")), lived in Vienna 2nd district, Rotensterngasse 10/16 and studied at the Medical School of the University of Vienna since 1932.
Ebenstein was no more enrolled at the Medical School in 1938 ("Absolutorium" was issued on July 18th, 1938), but was preparing for the final examinations ("Rigorosen"). He could finally finish his studies and graduated on July 21st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a "Nichtarierpromotion", which included at the same time that he was banned from his profession.
