Heinz Dresdner

Born: 08-23-1914
Faculty: Law School
Category: Expelled student
Heinz DRESDNER, born on August 23rd, 1914 in Vienna wasn't enrolled at the Law School any more in 1938, but was preparing for the final exams ('Rigorosen'). In May 1938 a factory for lead goods (Bleiwarenfabrik J. B. Ulrich A.G.) in Zagreb [Croatia] confirmed, that he would be employed as a secretary prior for handling of legal matters, on condition that he could start working by the beginning of August at the latest and that he had meanwhile graduated. The University of Vienna attested on Mai 24th, 1938, that he had already passed his final examinations, but the graduation hasn’t taken place yet, because of his "Jewish race". Heinz Dresdner finally succeeded to finish his studies and graduated on July 21st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a "Nichtarierpromotion", which included at the same time that he was banned from his profession. He married Lilly Trief (born on March 22nd, 1921).
