Dr. phil. Georg BURGER, born on March 2nd, 1904 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Arnold Burger MD (physician), lived in Vienna 18th district, Geymuellergasse 24, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Philosophical School in the 2nd year of his studies and took courses in pharmaceutics and chemistry ("Absolutorium" was certified on February 23rd, 1938). He was employed at the University of Vienna as assistant 2nd range at the 2nd chemical laboratory (head: Prof. Ernst Spaeth) and he succeeded in finishing his pharmaceutical studies on July 21st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a "Nichtariersponsion" which included at the same time that he was banned from his profession. In 1938 he lost hist position and was forced to leave the University of Vienna for racist reason after the takeover of power of National-Socialism.
