Jefim BRAUDE, born on June 25, 1914 in Minsk/Russia [Belarus] (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), lived in Viennas' 6
th district, Gumpendorfer Strasse 76, was enrolled at the Philosophical School from fall term 1932/33 to fall term 1936/37 and was right in the middle of his final examination at the time of the "Anschluss".
He had applied for the final examinations ("strenge Rigorosen") on December 20, 1937 and had passed the one-hour examination in philosophy ("Philosophicum") with
Prof. Buehler and Prof. Reininger on February 18, 1938. But before his dissertation could be approbated so that he could have taken the second and last of the final examinations but was forced to leave the university without any graduation or certificate.
His sister
Dina Braude Rappaport (1915-1990) studied medicine and was also forced to leave the University of Vienna. She could emigrate to Montpellier/France and then to the USA where she could finish her studies and became a physician.
Jefim Braude returned to Austria after the Second World War and became a chemist at the company Chemosan and later an expert at a patent attorney's office in Vienna.
