Efraim Lejb WINDMAN, born on May 13th, 1915 in Zawiercie/Poland (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Łódź/Poland, citizenship 1938: Poland), son of Jakob Benjamin Windman (merchant), lived in Vienna's 9th district, Servitengasse 24/20, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Medical School in the 3rd year of his studies.

In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he she was forced to quit his her studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna (Leaving Certificate ("Abgangszeugnis") was issued on April 9th, 1938, fall term 1937/38 was validated on February 18th, 1938).

He had to flee Vienna and possibly went back to Łódź/Poland on March 16th, 1938 and was deported to the German concentration camp Auschwitz [Oświęcim]/Poland in 1943 and did not survive - but this information is currently not yet certain.
