Olga WEISS (nee HOROWITZ), born on August 20th, 1885 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna, Citizenship: Austria), lived in Vienna 1st district, Maria Theresienstraße 32, studied at the Medical School of the University of Vienna. She was married to Dr. Paul Weiss, who also was a physician.
She wasn't enrolled at the Medical School any more in 1938, but was preparing for the final exams ('Rigorosen'). She could finally finish her studies and graduated on October 31st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a 'Nichtarierpromotion', which included at the same time that she was banned from her profession.
Although she began to work as a trainee student ('Hospitantin') at the First Medical Department of the Rothschild-Spital and became assistant physician ('Sekundaraerztin') in July 1939.

On October 1st, 1942 she was deported to Theresienstadt [Terezín/Czech Republic] together with her husband, where she worked as a physician in different infirmaries and old-people's homesfor prisoners of the ghetto. Her husband died after being interned five months.

After the liberation of the camp, she returned to Vienna by the beginning of August 1945, where she worked as a hospital psychician.
Olga Weiss died on February 7th, 1979 in the Jewish retirement home in Vienna.
