Arthur Georg WEIDENFELD (Lord George WEIDENFELD), born on September 13th, 1919 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Max Weidenfeld (white-collar employee), lived in Wien 8, Alser Straße 47/17, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Law School in the 1st year of his studies.
He emigrated to Great Britain in 1938 and worked as a journalist at the BBC, as Publisher and diplomate (e.g. he was an advisor of the Israeli government at the foundation of the state of Israel) and was involved in the foundation and development of different universities. He became 'Sir' in 1969 and 'Lord' and Member of the House of Lords in 1976.
