Karl URBACH, born on November 9th, 1917 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Dr. Max Urbach (physician, deceased), lived in Wien 4, Wiedner Gürtel 48, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 3rd year of his studies.
He emigrated to the USA in 1939 and could continue his studies. He graduated at the Northwestern University Chicago in 1946 in chemistry (Ph. D.) and in medicine (M.D.) in 1950. He became a chemist and physician in the US Public Health Service.
