Edith STREHBLOW, born on April 27th, 1918 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Fritz Strehblow (deceased), lived with her legal guardian Fritz Schorsch (bank officer, lateron workless) in Viennas 4th district, Blechturmgasse 14/17. On June 18th 1936 she gained her secondary school leaving certificate ("Maturazeugnis/Reifepruefungszeugnis") from the Elisabethgymnasium in Viennas 5th district and enrolled in the fall term 1936/37 at the Medical School of the University of Vienna and had to quit her studies in spring term 1938, at the end of her 2nd year of studies (spring term 1938 was validated on September 9th, 1938).

She emigrated to Great Britain in 1938 and worked there as a nurse.
