Nellie BLOCH (Nely BLOCHOVà), born on April 13
th, 1908 in Prague/Czechoslovakia [Praha/Czech Republic] (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Prague/Czechoslovakia, Citizenship 1938: Czechoslovakia), daughter of I. Bloch (teacher), lived in Vienna's 9
th district, Kolingasse 6, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Medical School in the 4
th year of her studies (fall term 1937/38 was validated on February 21
st, 1938).
In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism she was forced to quit her studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna (Leaving Certificate ('Abgangszeugnis') was issued on March 21
st, 1938.
She was deported from Prague II, Ve Smečkách 7 to Ghetto Theresienstadt [Terezín/Czech Republic] on July 2
nd, 1942, and on September 6
th, 1943, she was deported from there to the German concentration and extermination camp at Auschwitz [Oświęcim/Poland], where she was murdered.
