Dora BLUM, born on December 27th, 1910 in Cieszanów, Galicia/Austro-Hungarian empire [Cieszanów/Poland] (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Mielec/Poland, Citizenship: Poland), daughter of Moses Blum (rabbi in Nowy Sącz/Poland), lived in Vienna's 9th district, Tuerkenstrasse 9/36. She had passed the school-leaving examination (Matura) at the Realgymnasium Wien 21, Franklinstrasse, and enrolled at the University of Vienna in spring term of 1937 and was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Philosophical School in the 1st year of her studies and took courses in History, German and English language and literature Studies (Leaving Certificate ("Abgangszeugnis") was issued on June 16th, 1939). In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism she was forced to quit her studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna. She was deported on October 9th/10th, 1942 from Vienna's 9th district, Seegasse 9 to Theresienstadt [Terezín/Czech Republic], from there to concentration camp Auschwitz [Oswiecim/Poland] on October 23rd, 1944.
She did not survive.
