Klara STENGEL (married WEINBERG), born on October 17^th, 1912 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Herman Stengel (civil servant, 1876-1972) and Anna, née Bojanovksy, lived in Vienna's 3^rd district, Paracelsusgasse 7. She passed the Reifepruefung (Matura) (school-leaving examination) at the Maedchenrealgymnasium in Vienna's 8^th district on June 16^th, 1931, and began studying at the University of Vienna one year later in the fall term 1932/33. She was enrolled finally in spring term 1938 at the Philosophical School in the 4^th and last year of her studies and she took courses in History and English language and literature Studies and European Ethnology. She registered for the final examinations ("Rigorosen") as early as December 6^th, 1937. She did not immediately pass the first viva and was not allowed to sit for the repetition until the end of March 1938 at the earliest. As a result of the Anschluss on March 12^th, she was generally no longer allowed in times of National Socialism to take examinations for racist reasons (although the family had converted to Roman Catholicism in 1919) and was forced to abandon her studies and to leave the University of Vienna.

Klara Stengel was able to escape to Great Britain, married there the physicist Dr. Gustav H. Weinberg (b. 1906 in Samborz/Poland, d. 1984 in New York) and they lived togeth in London until 1947. In April/May 1947 they emigrated together from Great Britain to the USA and lived in 792 Columbus Ave, New York City, NY.

Clara Weinberger, née Stengel, died on February 12^th, 2008 and is buried in the family grave at the Vienna Central Cemetery.
