Gerda SPIELMANN (married KIRBY), born on February 28th, 1916 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Benjamin Spielmann (merchant), lived in Wien 1, Fleischmarkt 18/18, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Philosophical School in the 2nd year of her studies and took courses in German and English language and literature Studies.
She was vice-president of the 'Bund Österreichischer Jüdischer Studenten' (Federation of Austrian Jewish Students) and emigrated via France to the USA in 1939, but couldn't continue her studies. She became a governmental Administration Assistant.
