Hans SKALLA, born on November 21st, 1916 in Steyr/Upper Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Steyr/Upper Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Heinrich Skalla (merchant), lived in Vienna 8th district, Josefstaedter Strasse 43, from 1936 on in the "Sonnenheim" in Vienna 8th district, Skodagasse 9 respectively 14. After he had graduated from high school ('Bundesrealgymnasium') in Steyr in 1935, he began to study at the Medical School of the University of Vienna in fall term 1935/36. He was finally enrolled in spring term 1938 in the 3rd year of his studies.
Hans Skalla requested the refunding of his tuition fees after he was not allowed to continue his studies. They were not refunded, although he was not allowed to attend the lectures he paid for, because the teachers already got their part of the money. In case he should be asking again, he should get informed that it is too late and that it refunding not possible any more.
From January to April 1938 Hans Skalla lived Vienna, 9th district, Widerhofergasse 5/12a, then he left Vienna for his native town Steyr.
He succeeded to emigrate to Great Britain.
