Edmund BLAUSTEIN, born on September 22nd, 1915 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), lived in Vienna's 5th district, Ramperstorffergasse 25/9, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Medical School in the 3rd year of his studies (fall term 1937/38 was validated on February 18th, 1938). In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna (Leaving Certificate ("Abgangszeugnis") was issued on June 11th, 1938). He had to flee from National-Socialist Vienna and joined an illegal transport to Palestine [Israel], which was stranded in Serbia and later became known as the "Kladovo Transport". He was shot to death in Sabac/Zasavica [Serbia] on October 12th, 1941 by members of the "Deutsche Wehrmacht".
