Dr. Klara Chaje SCHREIBER, born on November 26th, 1897 in Stanislau, Galicia/Austro-Hungarian Empire [later: Stanisławów/Poland, today: Iwano-Frankiwsk|Івано-Франківськ/Ukraine] (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), lived in Vienna's 8th district, Albertgasse 14/17, and graduated from High school (Maedchengymnasium in Vienna's 8th district, Lederergasse). Soon after she enrolled from spring term 1917 till 1920 at the Philosophical School and took courses in biologie, mineralogy, btanics and zoology. She graduated in 1922 and earned the degree "Dr.phil." in zoology with her dissertation "Ueber die Chordascheiden der Haie".
Since 1933 she was enrolled at the Medical School - finally in the spring term 1938 in the 5th and last year of her medical studies ('Absolutorium' was certified on June 27th, 1938).
In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism she was forced to quit her medical studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna.
