Hermann SCHECHTER, born on January 1st, 1915 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Isaak Schechter (civil servant), lived in Wien 9, Glasergasse 16/37, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Philosophical School in the 2nd year of his studies and took courses in History. In 1938 he was able to emigrate to Palestine [Israel] where he lived until his death in 1995. He married and had three children. Lit.: information from his grandson Dr. Joshua Schechter, 2013
