Stefan Norbert SCHANZER, born on July 2nd, 1917 in Biala, Galicia/Austro-Hungarian Empire [Bielsko-Biała/Poland] (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, citizenship 1938: Austria), son of Jakob Schanzer (Motor carrier and driving school owner) and Stella Schanzer, née Eberstark, lived in Vienna's 9th district, Alser Straße 28, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 3rd year of his studies.

In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna.
Also his elder sister Lydia Schanzer, who studied at the Medical School, too, was also expelled from the University of Vienna in 1938
