Risa SCHÄCHTER, born on April 8th, 1913 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Jonas Schächter (tailor), lived in Vienna's 10th district, Fliederhof 4/7. She was finally enrolled in the fall term 1937/38 at the Medical School in the 4th year of her studies (Leaving Certificate ('Abgangszeugnis') was issued on September 15th, 1938, fall term 1937/38 was validated on February 18th, 1938). She could not finish her studies anymore in Vienna. After she had to move to a new flat in Vienna's 12th district, Laengenfeldgasse 6/7 she could emigrate to Great Britain in 1939 - at least this is what the last entry in her city-records says: "moved to London on April 7, 1939". She could work as a nurse there.
